Robin's Egg Nests

Robins Egg Nests - Ingredients

This is an adorable Easter treat that can be made by kids of any age. They transport easily too, so they are the perfect treat to take to an event.

  • 12 ounces of Butterscotch Morsels
  • 6 ounces of Chow Mein Noodles
  • 1 bag of Mini Robin Eggs
  • Cupcake Liners

Robins Egg Nests - Melted ButterscotchIn a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butterscotch pieces until smooth. Do this by microwaving in 30-second intervals then stirring. Repeat until all lumps are gone.

Robins Egg Nests- Mixed IngredientsMix your chow mein noodles into the the melted butterscotch until all they are coated.

Spoon mix into cupcake liners until slightly overflowing. Make an indentation in the center with your thumb or a spoon to create a place for the eggs to sit. Since this part is a bit sticky, it may be helpful to have two spoons to do this.

Place your eggs into the nests while still warm so they will stick. Let stand until cool and the butterscotch hardens. They can be served in the cupcake paper or you can remove it before handing them out.
