Train Rides By Donation!
"Train Rides By Donation? Whats the catch?" Honestly- there isn't one! The Silver Lake Railroad was created to offer a fun and inexpensive family environment. Entirely run by volunteers we offer scenic 55 minute, 6 mile round trips. The Silver Lake Railroad offers a time to sit back and relax as the scenery rolls by. You won't spot a house the entire ride; it's you, nature, and the train!
Our open air coaches offer an experience like no other. They make you a part of the landscape as you pass by, not to mention offering a view through the end of the coaches that only the engineer would normally observe, only better riding just a few feet off the ground! The Silver Lake Railroad is one of a kind, a must when traveling to the Mt. Washington Valley.
Visit our restored 1910 Railroad Station which is now our Railroad Museum, our Classic Car Garage, and best of all, our fully restored 1941 Diner which is now a picnic area and self-serve snack bar!
Classic car enthusiasts! Please join us every Friday evening from June 21st through August 30th, starting at 6 PM, at our Riley Brothers 1941 Diner on the Silver Lake Railroad grounds for a cruise-in, where we will be tailgating (bring your own food, drinks, and snacks) and socializing.
