A Visit with Abraham Lincoln
Monday, July 7 at 7 p.m. at the Moultonborough Public Library
Matching Lincoln's height and beard, Steve Wood bears enough of a resemblance to our 16th President to make heads turn even when not wearing black trousers, vest, frock coat, and a stovepipe hat.
This first-person NH Humanities historical interpretation includes anecdotes from Lincoln's visit to NH, stories of his early life, campaign debates with Stephen Douglas, and the Civil War that followed his election to the Presidency.
Steve has been featured in New Hampshire Magazine, on WMUR (NH) Chronicle, WCVB (Boston) Chronicle, and NH Public Radio's Front Porch and The Exchange.
