The Children’s Center invites you to “Touch a Truck” on Saturday, October 4th at the NICK in Wolfeboro from 10 am until 3 pm. The "Touch a Truck" fundraising event is a community wide event where kids (and adults) have the opportunity to see, touch, interact with and learn about dozens of cool vehicles. From fire trucks to motorcycles, cement trucks to police cars, UPS trucks to garbage trucks.
How often does anyone get to look inside any of these unusual vehicles and get to talk to someone who operates them? And kids of all ages love these loud and unique vehicles.
The Children’s Center hopes to have about 30 unique vehicles on site for participants to explore. A small sampling of vehicles that we hope to have on hand include fire trucks, police cars, a front end loader, a snow plows, an ambulances, a race car, antique cars. a motorcycle, a school bus, an ice cream truck and more. The Center hopes to raffle off rides in some of the most interesting vehicles.
The Touch a Truck event will also have carnival type games for the children and food and drink for purchase so a family could pretty much make a day of the event. Parental supervision is required and plan to have a camera on hand to capture the moments.
