Clark House Antique Fashion Show
August 15, 5pm-7pm
This annual program highlights the costume collection of the Clark House, and was well-received last year, so don’t miss this evening! There be lovely men’s women’s and children’s costumes to view and learn about. An added aspect this year, is watching our local hairdresser, Lana Vatalaro, demonstrate on a live model, how to do an early 1900’s hairdo! A local antique dealer will also speak about fashions of the period, perhaps bringing some examples in her own collection. Meet “Sarah Clark” in the schoolhouse for a demonstration of how a lady might don all the many layers of an Edwardian outfit. Sarah will then lead you on a tour through the rooms of the Clark House, where you will see “members of the Clark family”—costumes from Wolfeboro’s past displayed on mannequins. A door prize will be sold at this event, and the winning ticket will receive a book or other Victorian artifact as a prize. Music will be provided in the parlor for this event.
