Egg-citing Easter Events in Central New Hampshire
April 2014 –
Easter is just around the corner on April 20th this year! If you’ve got kids under 12, you may already be watching for community egg hunt opportunities and other Easter events. We've added Easter events to our Calendar from around the Lakes Region that you can visit with your family. In this article, we highlight some area events we thought were all kinds of "out of the box" fun, like eggs dropped from a helicopter!
The Charmingfare Farm
Egg-citing Egg Hunt - Candia, NH
774 High Street, Candia, NH 03034 - (603) 483-5623
April 2014 - Sat 5, Sun 6, Sat 12, Sun 13 & Sat 19 2014
$17.00 per person (Children 1 year and under FREE)
Though a bit out of the Lakes Region, the event at the Charmingfare Farm is filled with things to do and well worth the drive. Children bring an empty egg carton to fill, and are encouraged to decorate their carton beforehand! The hunt itself isn’t the draw here so much as the farm. They have a zoo area with animals such as bears, camels, cougars, foxes and many more. There are horse-drawn carriage rides around the property and a train experience during which children receive a special egg containing a prize from a local business. Prizes offered this year total in value over $75,000! Tops on our list for fun things to do besides just searching out some eggs, the best thing is that it’s offered on multiple days, so if you want to pack in the Easter fun, you can easily work-in more than one event if you go to an early weekend at the farm.

2014 Helicopter Egg Drop - Next Level Church

Sunday April 20th 2014 - There will be 3 identical experiences, Sunday at 9:00am, 10:30am, & 12:00pm
Certainly the most unique Easter event around, The Next Level Church sponsors multiple events around the state and in Maine on April 20th. Each drop has tens of thousands of plastic eggs and kids are safely divided into age groups to collect them after the helicopters leave. Due to the incredibly popular reception and high attendance, pre-registration is required and participants must attend a Next Level Church service that weekend, but the event is free of charge.
Hopefully you're all set to make some eggs or go find some! If there's something exciting going on in the Lakes Region or nearby that you think should be listed on NH Kidventures, please drop us a line! Our goal is to provide as much information as possible to central NH families about what is going on in their communities.
